Creative Meeting and Book Presentation of Ivan Saverchenko

On May 18, a creative meeting and book presentation of Ivan Saverchenko, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Director of the branch «Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies» of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, took place in the library.

Ivan Vasilyevich presented his new books «Birth of a Legend: Belarus in the IX-XV centuries» and «Guardians of the Fatherland. Princes and magnates of the Belarusian land». He noted that the literary-artistic and popular science comprehension of the Belarusian history is very important. The professor emphasized that scientific studies of artifacts and written sources help in writing historical works and strengthen the national consciousness of the Belarusian people through fiction.
