Regional Forum of Young Cultural Workers

On May 31, started a four-day Regional Forum for young workers of culture «Modern culture: new challenges - new heights». The first stage of the Forum for young workers of the library sphere was held in Vitebsk regional library.
Among the organizers of the Forum were the Department of Culture of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism, the Vitebsk Regional Committee «Belarusian Republican Youth Union».
As a part of the Forum a contest of youth projects in the field of culture, art and creative (creative) industries «New Look...» was held. Projects were presented in the competition, in which the library was presented as an educational platform, a recording studio, an inclusive space for socialization of children with disabilities and more. An expert jury evaluated the work of young professionals and selected the winners.
The first place was awarded to the head librarian of the Service and Information Department of the Central Library named after Mayakovsky of state cultural institution «Centralized Library System of Novopolotsk» Dilora Khasanova for her project «Postscriptum», which provides the creation of a sound recording studio for voicing the works of local writers on the basis of the library.
Second place went to the children's library № 1 of the Centralized Library System of Lepel (Head Olga Dovner), who proposed a project for the socialization of children with disabilities through a puppet theater «The Tales Box».
Third place was awarded to the methodologist of the department of marketing and socio-cultural activities of the Dubrovensky central district library Snezhana Savasteeva for the project of creation of the club association «Hikary club» for fans of East Asian culture.
Projects implemented by specialists of Vitebsk Regional Library and libraries of the region were presented to the Forum participants.
