During the New Year holidays, the regional library's periodicals department organized a fascinating interactive event for young school campers to learn about the Eastern calendar.
The children learned about an ancient legend about twelve animals – the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig – competing to become the symbol of the year.
The children then took part in a creative workshop. Using soft foamiran, they made a magnet horse, which became a memorable souvenir of their visit to the library.
In the pre-holiday atmosphere, the children not only broadened their horizons but also developed their creativity, fine motor skills, and ability to work with various materials.
