The Vitebsk Regional Library has received a donation of «To Kazimir Malevich» by artist Vyacheslav Druzhkin.
The halls and spaces of the Vitebsk Regional Library house over 60 paintings and graphic works by Vladimir Volnov, Felix Gumen, Anatoly Izoitko, Grigory Klikushin, Oleg Kroshkin, Alexander Podalinsky, Alexey Pshenko, Vikenty Raltsevich, Vyacheslav Shamshur, and many others. Following a long-standing tradition, after the completion of their exhibitions in the «Reflection» project, the artists donate their works to the library's collection.
These works create a cozy and inspiring atmosphere, reflect the distinctive features of the Vitebsk artistic tradition, and enrich the library's cultural space.
Vyacheslav Druzhkin's «To Kazimir Malevich» is not just a decorative piece, but an intellectual object. It is a tribute to the revolutionary contribution of the founder of Suprematism to the development of contemporary art. The avant-garde is always a challenge and a dialogue, a search for harmony in simple geometric forms; it is the art of experimentation, innovation, and rejection of classical canons. In the avant-garde style, every line has meaning.
