Composer Alexander Ivanov's lecture «The Ageless Waltz», was held on December 23rd in the regional library's Art Literature Department as part of the «Music for Everyone» project.
Attendees embarked on a fascinating journey into a world of elegance and romance, felt the breath of history, and discovered the timeless beauty of the waltz. Famous works were performed during the event: Mikhail Glinka's «Waltz-Fantasy», «Pushkin's Waltz», waltzes from Sergei Prokofiev's ballet «Cinderella» and opera «War and Peace», and Pyotr Tchaikovsky's «Waltz of the Flowers».
Alexander Ivanov not only presented masterpieces of classical music but also shared his own work -- guests heard recordings from his cycle of waltzes.
The lecture took place in a warm, pre-New Year's atmosphere, giving participants the joy of connecting with music and a sense of celebration.
