Exhibition «We all live under the stars of our mothers, and our mothers warmed this world for us...»
In anticipation of the holiday, on October 13th, the Rare Books Department opened the exhibition «We all live under the stars of our mothers, and our mothers warmed this world for us...», featuring works by Belarusian writers and poets of different generations.
Loving and kind, understanding and forgiving, patient and submissive, feminine and tender, courageous and steadfast in grief, open and generous in joy – this is how mothers appear to us in the books of Yanka Kupala, Petrus Brovka, Ryhor Baradulin, Vladimir Karatkevich, Arkady Kuleshov, Vladimir Lipsky, Anatoly Sys, Viktor Shnip, and Evgeniya Yanishchits. These works sound like a hymn of love and respect, a profound and grateful dedication to all mothers.
The exhibition is complemented by photographs and touching quotes from the books featured in the exhibition.
The exhibition runs until October 31.
