An Informational Hour for Junior Schoolchildren «Where Does Money Come From»

On May 2, an informational hour «Where does money come from» for 4th graders of Vitebsk Gymnasium № 8 as part of the project «Financial Literacy School for Children», took place in the library.
Natalia Abramovich, the librarian of the general reading room, told the students about interesting facts from the history of the origin of money and familiarized them with such concepts as «finance», «natural exchange», «barter», and also told them how and where the names «ruble» and «kopeck» came from. The children guessed riddles and took an active part in the quiz «What can and can't be bought with money».
At the end of the event, the children watched the animated movie «Kopilka».
