Game program «Summer Holidays»

The Library is intent on turning every summer into unique and memorable pastime for its young readers. Competitions, games, adventures, travels, and gifts make children's leisure not only fun but useful. Summertime also gives librarians a chance to encourage children and teenagers to read.

All throughout June, staff members of the Department of Periodicals have been preparing and performing the game program «Summer Holidays» for the Secondary School No. 34 (Vitebsk) summer camp.

Children could test their knowledge of literature by answering literary questions individually and as a team, while playing a game of skill «Erudite». For another thing, they were making a toy «Owl Teddy», while dipping their toes into the art world during the masterclass. On top of this, young visitors got to know the Library better, and made a tour to the Children's Department.

Students were also given a talk titled «May Goodness Live in Every Heart» in order to instill humane treatment and respect for people with disabilities.
