On May 16, as a part of the library project «Music for Everybody», a lecture of composer Alexander Ivanov devoted to the life and creative work of composer, pianist, teacher, musicologist and public figure Dmitry Shostakovich (1906–1975) took place in the department of art literature.

The composer of concerts, operas, ballets, chamber music, music for films and theatrical productions, who gained worldwide recognition primarily as the largest and most brilliant symphonist of his time.
