On April 18, as a part of the library project «Music for Everyone», a lecture of a composer Alexander Ivanov entitled «What Music Tells Us About» took place in the library.
The great musician of the 20th century Yevgeny Mravinsky wrote: «Some time ago, when I was listening to music, I felt a shock. It was like a stroke of lightning or thunder. The Art must shock. Otherwise, it wouldn't be an art. Man's passion for art and music – both the listener and the performer – that's the main thing, that's the result of art».
The lecture was devoted to the impact of music on the listener, using the works of Joseph Haydn, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Frederic Chopin, and Ludwig van Beethoven as examples.
