Youth Department
Youth Department is a structural unit of the library since January 1, 2022. Its main activity is aimed at providing information and library services for children of middle and high school age (grades 5-11).
The work of the department contributes to the process of socialization and education of young people through the creation of conditions for its general educational, cultural development, organization of leisure and interpersonal communication.
MAINDIRECTIONS OF WORK OF THE DEPARTMENT
promoting the culture of reading;
promotion of the Belarusian and regional literature, literature on the healthy way of life and the basics of life safety;
environmental education;
fostering citizenship and patriotism;
leisure activities involving young persons with a view to preventing asocial behaviour and reducing negative phenomena among the young;
implementation of joint activities with school, children's and youth associations, organizations and institutions of Vitebsk.
