General Reading Room
The General Reading Room is a multidisciplinary service department and focuses on the needs of different categories of users.
Thematic diversity and variety of the department's special literature is its «business card».
The Department has a rich book fund and a fund of periodicals in various fields of knowledge: natural, technical, agricultural, medical, social, philological and humanities, culture, science, education. The fund consists of scientific, popular science, educational, reference and other publications for different purposes.
There is a wide range of spiritual and moral literature published by Belarusian and Russian orthodox publishing houses.
MAIN TASKS AND ACTIVITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT
quick and quality library, information and bibliographic services to the users;
acquisition of documents in accordance with the information needs of the users;
formation of information culture of the users;
organization of exhibition activity aimed at popularizing the document collection of the department and its services, operative information about new editions;
organizing and conducting social and cultural events aimed at popularizing the department's fund and increasing the information culture of the users;
offering paid services to the department's users.
