Department of Periodicals
Department of Periodical Literature was established in 1967 as a sector of General Reading Room; in 1991 it was reorganized into an independent structural unit. The department has 30 seats for readers.
Each year, the department receives about 60 titles of newspapers and 200 titles of magazines. Sectoral composition of the department's fund is diverse: natural science, medicine, history, philosophy, sociology, politics, psychology, education, religion, literature, linguistics, etc.
The fund of open access presents newspapers over the past 3 years. There are magazines for the past 5 years in additional fund of the department. The order to periodicals from the Store is implemented in 5–10 minutes.
