A country-specific hour «Holidays in Great Britain»

On the 20th of February in Foreign Literature Department a country-specific hour «Holidays in Great Britain» for pupils of school № 29 was held.

During the event, pupils learned how do the British celebrate Christmas, Easter, Queen's Birthday, April Fool's Day, Boxing Day, Valentine's Day, Halloween, Remembrance Day and other holidays. Much prominence was given to the exhibition under the title "Holidays in Great Britain: history and our time." Department employees conducted a library excursion for participants of the event. Children consolidated knowledge by means of contests, quizzes and crosswords in English.
