The presentation of the collection «There is an ancient city on the Dvina» based on the materials of the international historical and archival teleconference Vitebsk-Volgograd, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Vitebsk region from the Nazi invaders, took place on December 30 in the Vitebsk Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M. Shmyrev.
The presentation, organized by the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, was attended by archivists, employees of the Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local History and other authors of the collection.
The head of the regional library's local history department, Larisa Rogacheva, in her speech noted the importance of publishing books that tell about the heroic past of our country. An example of such publications in 2024 was the collection of materials from the scientific and practical conference «Vitebsk Region» and the reissued book by Nina and Nikolai Dorofeenko «Vitebsk Underground».
