Book Presentation of Yakov Bruk «Marc Chagall in the Space of Russia»

On April, 22 a Book Presentation of Yakov Bruk «Marc Chagall in the Space of Russia» and two-volume book «Russian Book about Marc Chagall» (compiled by Y. Bruk and L. Khmelnitskaya), took place at the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
The staff and readers of Vitebsk Regional Library took part in the online format in the presentation of the editions.
Yakov Bruk is an art historian and a well-known expert on the work of Marc Chagall, who for more than half a century headed the section of the exposition «Art of the Twentieth Century» in the Tretyakov Gallery. His book contains articles based on little-known, often for the first time introduced into the scientific community documentary material, which allows to clarify significant facts and circumstances of the creative destiny of Marc Chagall. The participants of the presentation learned many interesting facts about the return to the homeland of Chagall's name and the resurrection of the master's memory.
Historian Lyudmila Khmelnitskaya talked about the joint work with Yakov Bruk on the «Russian book about Marc Chagall», which included all known printed, archival, illustrative material relating to the Russian years of Marc Chagall and his relations with Russia.
