Creative evening «The Mysterious Power of Poetry»

On March 21, on the World Poetry Day, the regional library hosted a creative evening «The Mysterious Power of Poetry».
Tamara Krasnova-Gusachenko, the chairman of the Vitebsk regional branch of the Union of Belarusian Writers, talked about the creative success of the writers from Vitebsk region and new, recently published books.
The second part of the gala evening was the honoring of the poet, translator, teacher, member of the Union of Belarusian Writers, head of the national literary association «Polotsk branch» Alexander Ratkevich. Tamara Krasnova-Gusachenko presented Alexander Ratkevich with the Diploma of the Union of Belarusian Writers for fruitful literary work and participation in public life.
Members of the literary association «Polotsk Branch» Tamara Kovaleva, Natalya Litvinova, Tatyana Mosharskaya, Lydia Piskun and Nikolai Khokhlov came to congratulate their colleague on his 70th birthday.
Alexander Bogdanenkov, Vasiliy Koltunov and Nikolai Namestnikov dedicated their poems and kind words to Alexander Mikhailovich. Sergey Krasov read fables of his own composition.
The bright performance of Inna Solomakho from Novopolotsk became a wonderful gift to the jubilee.
Alexander Ratkevich read his poems, familiarized the audience with «versicolor poetry» and literary direction «catharsism». The poet donated his books, as well as literary almanacs of different years to the library.
