The department of periodicals of the library donated literature printed in Louis Braille relief-dot tactile font to the rehabilitation department of visually impaired people of Vitebsk boarding house for the elderly and disabled people.

Such publications allow visually impaired residents of the boarding house to enjoy reading and get education. This helps them to keep their independence and to participate in society life.

Besides that, the access to a various literature broadens the horizons of the visually impaired and allows them to better understand the world around them. This is especially important for those who live under the conditions of limited communication and access to information.
