Wisdom teaching «The hidden world of Orthodox books»

On March 13, as a part of the target complex program «The living word of spiritual wisdom» a wisdom teaching «The hidden world of Orthodox books» was held in the library on the eve of the Orthodox Book Day.

During the lesson students of secondary school № 18 got acquainted with the history of the origin of writing and the peculiarities of artistic design of written monuments. The children recognized interesting facts about the handwritten book tradition and the life of the creators of the Slavonic alphabet Cyril and Methodius.

Children could demonstrate their knowledge during the intellectual interactive game, as well as creative abilities – during the creative workshop on making a bookmark.

A tour around the library finished the meeting.
