Creative meeting with the writing group of the play «Pesya and Yanko»

On March 15, a creative meeting with the writing group of the play «Pesya and Yanko» of Mogilev Regional Drama and Comedy Theatre named after V. Dunin-Martsinkevich (Bobruisk) took place in the library.
The performance is based on the play of the same name by Arkady Schulman and Yan Karpinsky. In November 2022, at the VIII Republican Festival of National Drama named after V. Dunin-Martsinkevich, this work became the winner in the nomination «The Best Play of the Modern Belarusian Author».
The Head of Local Lore Department Larisa Rogacheva and the literary editor of the Yakub Kolas National Academic Drama Theatre Yuri Ivanovsky addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. A journalist and a writer Arkady Schulman, chief director of the theater Dmitry Nuyanzin and theater actors Maria Dorogobed, Igor Burak and Pavel Mikulik came to the library to meet with Vitebsk audience. Arkady Schulman recalled the story of the creation of the play and the performance based on the story written by him in 2019. An interesting conversation about love and war, good and evil and the meaning of life took place. The leitmotiv of the whole meeting became the idea that we should not forget about the terrible events of the Great Patriotic War so that this tragedy would never repeat again.
