Library Challenge «I praise you, Vitebsk region»

On January 20, the library held a local history hour for high school students devoted to the 85th anniversary of the Vitebsk region as a part of the library information challenge «I glorify you, blue-eyed Vitebsk region».
The library staff told the pupils about the history and culture of their native land, about famous fellow countrymen and natural riches of the Vitebsk region, conducted a quiz and a bibliographical review of the editions presented at the library exhibition «Vitebsk region: milestones of history».
The artist Anna Labunskaya spoke about the work on the questbook «Vitebsk through the eyes of Napoleon», that was prepared as a part of the information resource «Vitebsk in the War of 1812» and gave one copy to the library fund of the secondary school № 18.
The librarians Irina Raspopova and Julia Bulakh gave a tour around the library and announced the events that will take place in the Vitebsk Regional Library within the challenge throughout the anniversary year.
