On October 15 the world celebrates White Cane Safety Day, on November 13 – the International Day of the Blind. Between these dates Belarus annually holds a month «Man with a white cane».

On November 10, the department of periodicals donated about 130 copies of magazines printed in tactile writing system with embossed paper (Braille) to the library of Vitebsk Care Home for the Elderly and Disabled.
