October 4 is the World Animal Day. This date is intended to draw people's attention to the problems of other inhabitants of the planet, to increase public awareness of the need to protect animals.

Population sizes of mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians have declined due to the degradation of habitats caused by poaching as well as large-scale economic development of territories, and global climate change. We cannot forget about the human cruelty to animals too.

The Public Center of Legal Information has prepared a video about the legal regulation of relations in the field of animal abuse in the Republic of Belarus.
