Presentation of the book «Saint Alexander Nevsky»

On July 2, the library hosted a presentation of the book «Saint Alexander Nevsky» by Alexander Ananichev. The event, organized by the Diocese of Vitebsk of the BOC and Vitebsk Regional Library, was held as part of the city's festive program timed to coincide with the 800th anniversary of the birth of the faithful Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky.
«Saint Alexander Nevsky» is an illustrated edition for children over 8 years old, published in 2021 by the Publishing house of the Sretensky Monastery in Moscow with the support of the charitable fund named after Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. The book is an artistic retelling of the life of the faithful Prince Alexander Nevsky.
The event was attended (via videoconference) by the head of the Publishing house of the Sretensky Monastery, Hierodeacon Platon (Kudlasevich), the leading editor of the Publishing house of the Sretensky Monastery and the editor of the book «Saint Alexander Nevsky», Maria Vinarova, and Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Candidate of Cultural Studies, the teacher of the Sretensky Theological Seminary, Alexander Uzhankov.
The presentation of the book was also attended by representatives of the NGO «Belarusian Union of Women» and Vitebsk Regional Public Association of Orthodox Women, heads, specialists of the city universities' libraries and libraries of the network of the Culture Ministry in Vitebsk region.
The book «Saint Alexander Nevsky» by Alexander Ananichev was donated to the collection of Vitebsk Regional Library and to the largest libraries in the city of Vitebsk and Vitebsk region.
