Evening meeting «Champions are always champions»

On May 26, as a part of the events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus a meeting with Igor Kanygin took place in the library.

Igor Kanygin - Honored Master of Sports, silver medalist of the XXII Olympic Games, world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling, the director of the specialized educational and sports institution «Vitebsk Regional Center of the Olympic Reserve of Martial Arts».

The meeting was attended by Vitebsk secondary school pupils and young athletes. Igor Kanygin shared his experience, spoke about the joy of victory and the difficulties of preparing for the competition, answered different questions.

The Head of the library Tatyana Adamyan thanked the champion for the interesting performance and presented a library card.

There was an opportunity to make a photo with Igor Kanygin.

Vasilisa Kovaleva, a 6 «A» form pupil of the Vitebsk State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No. 5», performed a musical gift - a song «Peaks» at the end of the evening.

The staff of the general reading room prepared the exhibition «Olympic Country Belarus».
