On February 15, as a part of the librarian project «Music for Everybody», took place a lecture of musician Alexander Ivanov about the work of his teacher Boris Tishchenko «Beatrice».
The choreo-symphonic cycliade «Beatrice» is a work for a full symphony orchestra. It is the unique composition for the world music history. This is a great ballet based on Dante's «Divine Comedy» consisting of five complete symphonies. Every symphony is provided with clear programme. The first one describes Dante's existence on the Earth, the second and third ones embody infernal circles, the fourth one is purgatory and the fifth one is the paradise. The composer worked over it during the period of 1996–2005. This ballet has not been staged yet.
The participants of the meeting recognized the history of creation and listened to the second part of the cycliade «The Entering are Doomed to Leave their Hopes». The talent and power of composer's imagination of Boris Tishchenko amaze the listener - this is how music is able to convey the characteristics of human character, fantastic pictures and events of «Divine Comedy». Alexander Ivanov commented and explained scenes of music, which reflected the torment of sinners in the inferno circles.
