Summing up the Results of the Competition «The Land Under the White Wings»

On November 30, in the Vitebsk Regional Library, the results were summed up and the winners of the regional competition of presentation video materials «The Land Under the White Wings», dedicated to the Year of the Small Homeland, were awarded.
The library was supported by the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers in holding the contest. The Chairman of the competition jury, the Director of the Vitebsk regional library Tatyana Adamyan told about the geography of the competition participants and the subject of the presented works.
The writer Vladimir Korotkevich poetically called Belarus «The Land Under White Wings», whose 90th birthday is being celebrated by the whole country these days. Dedication to our famous compatriot also sounded in the contest works «Uladzimir Karatkevich and Vitebsk», prepared by the staff of the V. Korotkevich of the Vitebsk library-branch № 14 named after V. Korotkevich and «Honest master is clean like a tear» сreated by the staff of Orsha Centralized Library System. In the poems of Vladimir Korotkevich, read by the head of the department of local lore literature and bibliography Larisa Rogacheva, and in the video clip «Wet Grasses» for the song performed by Galina and Boris Vaykhansky, the topic of love for the native land sounded throughout the writer's entire work.
Svetlana Dedinkina, a member of the competition jury, the Head of the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, shared with impressions of the contest works. The visitors watched the videos «...Your Beautiful Name, Luchesa» and «Vitebsk: ART Space Territory», created by the staff of the Vitebsk Regional Library.
Congratulations were heard from the Chairwoman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Professional Union of Culture, Information, Sports and Tourism Workers Elena Sabirova and the Director of the Vitebsk Regional Library Tatyana Adamyan.
