Meeting «Difficult Roads of Victory» in the Framework of the International Project

On December 17, within the framework of the international project Astrakhan - Minsk - Vitebsk: Historical and Cultural Dialogue, a meeting on the difficult Victory Roads dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, took place.

Representatives of the Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library named after N.K. Krupskaya, veterans of the regional Council of Labor Veterans, Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, members of the public organizations «Children of War», students, schools and volunteers took part in the event.

A brief report of the Belarus liberation from Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War was sounded by Nikolai Parkhimovich, senior lecturer at the Department of History of Belarus at Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov. Denis Yakovlev, the main funds warder of the Vitebsk regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M.F. Shmyrev and leading bibliographer of the Vitebsk Regional Library Ekaterina Yaskevich shared experience of organizing events, creating information resources by cultural institutions of Vitebsk region to the 75th anniversary of the Belarus liberation.
