On May 25, 2017 the Library hosted a presentation of a new work by Vitebsk artist Igor Durov from his triptych about the castles of Vitebsk of the 12th, 14th and 17th centuries. Candidate of historical sciences Denis Yurchak introduced the artist at the beginning of the presentation.
Igor Durov has long been interested in the history of Vitebsk architecture. During the presentation, the artist spoke about the idea of creating a triptych and the process of writing it. With the help of the modern representation of the town, the artist showed where the principle buildings of Vitebsk settlement had been located in the 17th century. The audience learned many interesting facts from that period of the town's history. The works of Igor Durov can be seen at the exhibition hall «Dukhovskoy Kruglik».
