Training Workshop for Employees of Public Centers for Legal Information of Vitebsk Region

On April 28, 2017 the library's department «Public Center for Legal Information» hosted a training workshop for the employees of public centers for legal information of Vitebsk region.
Larisa Dorogova, the Director of the Regional Center for Legal Information of Vitebsk Region, made a presentation entitled «Public centers for legal information as an integral part of the state-based system of legal information of the Republic of Belarus. Main governmental information and legal resources of the National Center for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus».
Specialists from the Regional Center for Legal Information of Vitebsk Region Yulia Dirko and Dmitry Kucherenko spoke about the organization of work with the information and legal systems «Etalon» and «Etalon-online». Lyudmila Lutskevich, a leading librarian at the «Public Center for Legal Information» department of the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V. Lenin, briefed the participants on the information and legal services and the organization of the legal literacy of the population in the library.
The workshop participants discussed the effectiveness of the activities of the PCLI and took a test on the practical application of the information system «Etalon» in the work of the PCLI. At the end of the workshop the participants were awarded certificates of the National Center for Legal Information of the Republic of Belarus, stating that their holders had gained expertise in the use of the information storage and retrieval system «Etalon» and other information and legal resources of the state-based system of legal information of the Republic of Belarus.
