Literary Evening «Touch: A Poetic Dialogue»

On the 5th of January the library hosted a literary evening «Touch: A Poetic Dialogue» with poets Oleg Seshko and Elena Kriklivets.
«The art of poetry is always a dialogue – a dialogue between the author and the reader, the author and universe, the author and himself», Elena Kriklivets pointed out. Two Vitebsk poets had a poetic dialogue with each other and the audience. The slides of a presentation showed the life stories of the two talented poets while they were reading their poems.
Reflection about personal future and the future of the mankind, love, biblical allusions, admiration of nature and the world around us – all those themes are very close to both poets. The guests of the literary evening admired the literary talent of the poets who had won numerous international literary contests. Chief Specialist of the Main Department of Ideology, Culture and Youth Affairs at the Vitebsk Executive Committee and a member of the Union of Writers of Belarus Valery Marchenko on behalf of himself and all the participants of the evening thanked Elena Kriklivets and Oleg Seshko for creating the true feast of poetry.
