Exhibition «Temple Builders of Rus’» Opens Its Doors

On the 6th of December within the framework of the celebrations in memory of Blessed Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky the library hosted the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition «Temple Builders of Rus'». Throughout that exhibition the organizers want to convey to the public the history of temples and churches that have been built or restored in the territory of Russia and Belarus.
The opening ceremony was attended by Metropolitan of Smolensk and Roslavl Isidore, Archbishop of Vitebsk and Orsha Demetrius, municipal and regional officials, readers and employees of the library.
On the same day the library hosted the ceremony of signing the Agreement of Cooperation between Vitebsk Regional Association of Orthodox Women (chairperson – Tamara Krasnova-Gusachenko) and Regional Branch of the International Public Organization «The Union of Orthodox Women» in Smolensk region (chairperson – Lyudmila Azarenkova).
The library will host the exhibition for a month.
