Presentation of Photo Exhibition «Belarusian Actors in Russian Cinema, Russian Actors in Belarusian Cinema»

On October 25, 2016 the Department of Art Literature arranged an exhibition «Belarusian Actors in Russian Cinema, Russian Actors in Belarusian Cinema» for students of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. The exhibition is part of the project «Smolensk Natives in Belarus, Belarusians in Smolensk».

The author of exhibited works isMykolaGnisyuk (1944-2007), a photo-artist and the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. The photo exhibition was opened by Head of the Department of Electronic Resources of the library of Smolensk State University and PhD Tatyana Ladozhina. She talked about the photos of the master that depictBelarusian and Russian actors, film frames from military pictures, filmed at the studio «Belarusfilm» by Russian directors E. Klimov, L. Shepitko, V. Sokolov and M. Ershov,and based on the works of Belarusian writers A. Adamovich and V. Bykov. A separate set of photographs was dedicated to thePeople's Artist of Belarus and the People's Artist of the Soviet Union, laureate of USSR State Prize and Belarusian director V. Turov (1936-1996).

On October 26, the exhibition is to be moved to Mogilev Regional Library.
