The exhibition of art works by Anita Paegle, Latvian artist and illustrator of children's books, was opened on the 16th of November at the Vitebsk Regional Library.
The exhibition of art works by Anita Paegle, Latvian artist and illustrator of children's books, was opened on the 16th of November at the Vitebsk Regional Library.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Belarus Martins Virsis, the Head of the Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Vitebsk Ugis Skuya, the Rector of the Art Academy of Latvia Alexei Naumov, the Vice-Rector for Art and Research of the Art Academy of Latvia Kristaps Zarinysh, the Deputy-Director of the Main Department for Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee Larisa Olenskaya, the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization «The Belarusian Union of Artists» Svetlana Barankovskaya and the Dean of the Art and Graphic Faculty of Vitebsk State University named after P. M. Masherov Yulia Begenar'. Tatyana Adamyan, the Director of the Vitebsk Regional Library, opened the exhibition. Mikhail Tsybulski, the coordinator of the event, spoke on the artist's work. In her closing speech Anita Paegle dwelt on the process of creating an art work.
The opening ceremony was accompanied by live music performed by Olga Sudnichenko and Maria Kositsyna, fourth-year students of Vitebsk Musical College named after I. I. Sollertinskiy.
The exhibition lasted till the 10th of January, 2016.
